Abstract: The authors introduce an innovative teaching aid to interpreting linear regression models. Using flowcharts, the authors provide visual and step by step guidance to students on deciphering output from simple and multiple linear regression models. Such technique alleviates many challenges associated with mastering statistical concepts which are often a foundation to many data analytics courses that are taught by Information Systems faculty. This novel method not only aids in improving articulation skills by students but also improves student success and learning efficacy. Furthermore, by utilizing these flowcharts, faculty can reduce the amount of time spent on reviewing statistical concepts and are able to redirect their time and focus on core learning objectives of their course.
