IT Infrastructure Strategy in an Undergraduate Course

Abstract: Cloud computing has grown immensely in the past decade and is becoming increasingly important to organizations. The Computer Information Systems (CIS) program at Cal Poly Pomona has gone through a re-visioning process that included the addition of a course on IT infrastructure. This paper reports on the newly created IT infrastructure course, which is in the beginning of two emphases (curriculum tracks) in the CIS department.
