Abstract: The current boom in information technology and the corresponding wealth of data available to management would seem to make quantitative data analysis techniques more essential than ever. This paper includes discussion of how a number of operations research techniques including mathematical programming, simulation, yield management, dynamic programming, network algorithms, and statistics might be incorporated into the information systems curriculum.
