Abstract: This paper describes a redesign of an Information Systems Implementation course using open-source social utilities. We show how an existing IS implementation course can be augmented by using the open platform recently released by Facebook. The key advantage of this approach is to achieve a balance between satisfying academic curriculum requirements and having a real-world development experience without external scheduling and organizational constraints.
