Submitting to the IS Education Journal

The IS Education Journal is interested in good quality papers on subjects of value and interest to IS Educators. There is no direct way to submit to the IS Education Journal. Instead, to be published in the IS Education Journal you must submit your paper to ISECON during its annual call for papers.

About
ISECON Please see the ISECON section of this web site for further information in that regard. If you want to avoid that route, see JISE immediately below. If you went that route and got accepted, skip the JISE section and continue.

JISE There is another alternative for journal submission to the audience of IS Educators. EDSIG publishes a quarterly academic journal, the Journal of Information Systems Education (JISE). JISE runs independent of ISECON and ISEDJ, and maintains its own cadre of reviewers. To learn more about JISE, please select the JISE button. A new browser window will open.

If Your Paper Was Accepted...

If your paper has been accepted to ISECON by surviving the peer review process, you are invited to publish that same paper in ISEDJ. The process is not automatic, but it is simple.

Style You should review the style guidelines and requirements for ISEDJ papers. These requirements ensure a uniform look and feel for all papers, and help to avoid a few of the presentation quality problems that sometimes occur.

After complying with the style requirements, send your paper as an email attachment to ( editor at isedj dot org ). The editor will review the paper for compliance with the published style guidelines. In the unusual case that a standard has been overlooked or some new standard has been established, you will be informed of the corrections that are required. This review may take several iterations.

Once the paper is finally accepted, the editor will assign an article number to your paper based on its order of acceptance. The editor will prepare a web page abstracting your paper. If your paper is not already in PDF format, the editor will arrange for that conversion. In that case, the editor will request your final review of the PDF file to ensure formatting accuracy. A cover page will be added to your paper and the completed result will become a numbered issue of the current volume of ISEDJ. At that point, you will be notified that your paper has been added to the ISEDJ web site and to the various indexes, thus becoming fully published. Congratulations!
